Wedding FAQ
What should I expect after I fill out the Custom Package form?
A.Shortly after you submit the form, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that we've received your request.
**Personalized Follow-Up:** I will review your details and reach out to you within 24-48 hours with a customized quote of services.
** Pre-Booking Consultation** If you aren't sure what you need, or I have questions about what you are looking for we can schedule a consultation where we'll create a customized proposal based on the information gathered. This will detail our services, packages, and next steps.
**If you just want a chance to chat with me via phone or video call before moving forward, we can schedule a consult as well.
**Booking Your Date:** Once you’re ready to move forward, our booking process is easy and done completely online. You can accept your quote of services and once you sign your contract and pay your invoice we will secure your date and start planning the details of your unforgettable celebration.
**Timeline Consultation Appointment:** Once you are ready we will schedule a timeline consultation (either phone call or virtually) to dive deeper into your wedding plans. This is a great opportunity to explore ideas and answer any questions as well as get your timeline created so we have plenty of time on your day to capture all your memories!
**Pre-Wedding Consultation Appointment:** About a month out from your wedding we will have our final consultation to finalize your plans and go over the questionnaire that I will send you to ensure we are all on the same page and that we capture all your details of your day.
Don't worry though we are available anytime to answer any questions you may have.
Do you require a deposit to book my wedding?
A.Yes we require a deposit of 20% of your package price.
When are my payments due?
A.We can customize payment plans to best fit your needs but our typical payment schedule is:
~20% due when booking
~50% of remaining balance due half way between booking date and wedding date
~final payment is due 30 days before the wedding!
When will I receive my photography gallery?
A.A preview of your day within 48 hours after your wedding will be added to your personal gallery and as long as you are okay with it also on our socials! We strive to deliver your full gallery as quickly as possible because we understand how eager you are to see the photos. The complete photography galleries will be delivered within 8 weeks after the wedding, but don't worry—we'll send it to you as soon as it's ready!
When will I receive my teaser video and film(s)?
A.A preview of your day with the 1-minute teaser within the week after your wedding will be added to your personal gallery and as long as you are okay with it also on our socials! We strive to deliver your full film selections as quickly as possible because we understand how eager you are to be able to relive your day! The complete films will be delivered within 8-10 weeks after the wedding, but don't worry—we'll send it to you as soon as it's ready!
Do you have insurance?
A.We sure do! We are proud to carry comprehensive insurance for our wedding photography services. This ensures that not only are we protected, but we can also provide proof of insurance to venues upon request, allowing for a smooth and worry-free experience on your special day.
Do you charge travel fees for weddings?
A.Yes, we do charge travel fees for wedding photography, which helps cover the costs associated with traveling to your event. Here’s how it works for both local and destination weddings:
**Pittsburgh Local Weddings:**
We typically do not charge a travel fee for weddings local to Pittsburgh. If the wedding venue is more than 1 hour from Kittanning (our home) a nominal travel fee may be applied to cover expenses like gas and time spent traveling.
**Destination Weddings:**
For destination weddings, travel fees are more comprehensive due to the additional logistics involved. These fees generally include:
1. Transportation Costs: We will charge for airfare or mileage if we’re driving to the location.
2. Accommodation: We typically request that our clients cover hotel costs or include them in our package pricing.
3. Meals and Expenses: Any meals and incidental expenses during the travel period are also considered.
4. Time Away: As destination weddings often require several days for travel, we account for the time spent away from home when formulating our rates.
We believe in being transparent about our pricing, so clients will receive a detailed breakdown in their contract. This way, you can clearly understand what goes into the photography services we provide for both local and destination weddings. A.All of our packages include the 1-minute Teaser video which is great for a quick preview of your day and sharing on socials!
